Dunbar is the eastern most of the Burghs of East Lothian.
It lies on the coast at the mouth of the Firth of Forth and the fine arable lands of the
Lothian plains.
An area often referred to as the "Garden of Scotland".
Dunbar is renowned for its high sunshine record, rugged coastline and
attractive countryside. It is easy to reach by road; situated halfway between
Edinburgh and Berwick on Tweed on the main A1; makes visiting the town
very accessible.
The Intercity rail line between Edinburgh and London passes
through the town. Edinburgh International airport at Edinburgh is just an hours'
drive away.
